Look what Piper can do!

So, weekend before last, Piper was finally starting to feel better. Finally.  She still has some stridor on occasion throughout the day, but nothing like it was before, and it’s really sporadic.  We go to her pediatrician for her 12 month check-up on Friday, so we’ll talk more about it then.

But, since she was feeling better, she finally started wanting to play more on the floor again.

And guess what she decided to do?

She’s skooching all the time now.  All.  The.  Time.  And she’s getting fast, too.  Particularly when she’s extra motivated to get cool things.  You know, like the cord to the vacuum.

It’s not really an army crawl, because she definitely uses her feet to propel her.  It’s kind of like an inchworm/army crawl/bear crawl combination.  And it’s absolutely hilarious.  She’s really starting to get the left/right leg motion going, and I think she’ll get her tummy up off the floor soon (okay, her tummy is off the floor, but only when her feet are on the floor and bottom sticks clear up in the air…).

She started moving, a lot, while I was trying to finish up things for the birthday party.  I’m a floor person, and tend to do most of my work there.  I’m coming to the conclusion that my time of working with glue, permanent markers, scissors, buttons, etc., has past.  Woohoo!

  1. Oh, I think I see an inchworm-themed party in her future! Too cute and funny! And I LOVE the grunts and squawks she's motivating herself with. What a hoot.

  2. Yeah Piper! Alayna did that inchworm move too. I was sad to see it go as it was so darn adorable.

  3. Yeah Piper...Emily is trying to do that same thing but instead of going forwards, most of the time she ends up going backwards! Piper is adorable!
