Happy October!

Do you ever feel like everything has a day? Seriously- April 30 is National Honesty Day. June 17 is Eat Your Vegetables Day. Heck- even watermelon has it’s own day (August 30, in case you were wondering…)

But months, months are more prestigious. You have to be more than cotton candy to get a whole month (December 7- FYI).

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. And along with gillions of other Ds bloggers, we’re celebrating with daily posts (big breath here- surely I can manage 31 days, right???) showing the true side of Down syndrome. The side that medical professionals don’t see and don’t advertise. The side that’s inadvertently and unfairly hidden in the shadows of society.

Anything YOU’D like to know?  I think that a lot of times questions go unanswered and assumptions are made because no one knows if it’s okay to ask.  Please feel free to ask away!

Are you excited?  We are!!!

  1. Just do several 'scheduled' posts with just a picture of your cute kiddos. I remember I had a hard time last year. Not sure what this year will bring - I've got several pictures lined up - ha :)
