<<sigh>>

I blame it on getting sick.

Yes, we’re still getting over The Sick that first got Piper (and Piper got over way quicker than I did- you know, my kid who’s got a compromised airway and that we aren’t supposed to let her get a respiratory anything because of it got less sick than I did, and I never get sick…), but I think we’re finally out of this thing.  Thank goodness.  I’m so over it.

Add to that we’re in the last month of pregnancy, and I haven’t really been in the mood to do, well, anything that requires sitting (unless, of course, it needs to be done, in which case things that require physical exertion don’t sound great, either).  Including blogging, apparently, even though we’ve had a lot going on that’s probably blog-worthy.

So now I’m overwhelmed at the prospect of  getting caught up (kind of like I am with laundry.  And dishes.  But who’s counting).

This is my mission for the weekend.  Getting caught up (that and getting the garden planted, but that requires very little work from me and very much work from my husband who’s placating my desire to get it done before the baby comes).  And, you know, maybe getting everything ready around the house for the baby to come.  Might be nice to have a toothbrush packed.  And Piper some clothes ready.  But whatever.

I was going to get several posts up tonight, but it’s already almost 9:30 and Piper’s clothes just got out of the washer.  (On a side note, am I the only one that hangs all the baby clothes to dry?  Her blankets and whatnot go in the dryer, but none of her clothes, and it really takes forever getting them on hangers...)  And I’m sure that there are several other things I could/should be doing.  Shocking.

At least the sun is shining today.

  1. You are probably not the only one who hangs their kiddos clothes to dry, but I prefer to shrink and set in stains with the dryer - haha!

  2. Sorry you've been sick but I'm glad you're feeling better. It sounds like you might be nesting a little? So exciting that you'll be welcoming baby #2 this month!
