(notice the grumpy lip-- she is a prodigy at this, and has been doing it since she was itty-bitty)
Piper has been in such a funky mood today. One minute she'll be happy, and talkative, and laughing, and the next, she's screaming. I don't get it. She seldom gets mad so when she does, we take her seriously. She even woke up today, in her car seat, crying in the back seat. She has never done that before.
We find out tomorrow if her gallstones are still there. I really hope that they're not, because that means no need for surgery. But I can't help but think that they are what's causing all these episodes. It's so tough, because she's such a happy baby, until she has insta-mad events that seem to come from nowhere.
On the other hand, it wouldn't be all bad if it is gallstones. That way, once they are taken care of, they're gone. And we know they won't come back, because they were from the IV nutrition she had for the first 19 days until she was able to eat. The only other thing I can figure is that her reflux is getting worse, in which case I can just ask for her meds to be increased. But she doesn't show any other symptoms for this, so I'm not really convinced. And if it is reflux, or something else, we may be battling it for a long time. ...sigh...
It'll just be good to have tomorrow over and know what's going on!
Hopefully her funk dissipates by Saturday, because I hear rumors that Santa may be coming to visit. And I'm guessing that the big guy won't need any assistance in the crying baby category.
Could she be teething?? Cheer up Piper!
ReplyDeleteOooo...that lip is GOOD. LC pairs her with a squishy bitter beer face and it is MONEY...ESPECIALLY where Dad's involved. If she's uncomfortable being leaned back or laying down completely, her ears might be hurting. But I think LC's head must feel like it's going to explode whenever new teeth are stabbing their way into her mouth...maybe Sweet P's feels the same way? Poor, Poor PiperDoodle.
