Piper is in love with my mom’s Boston terrier, Stitch.
In fact, “Stitch” was on the of the first words Piper said. It comes out like a “schjxz” kind of sound, but it works. And we know what it means. Of course, it’s the same sound for sandwiCH, lunCH, CHicken, CHinchilla, CHeese… you get the picture.
Anyway, any time Piper sees a Boston (they all look so much alike), she gets uber excited and starts calling Stitch’s name. And any time she gets close to a Boston, she starts giggling and asking for kisses (much to my mom’s chagrin.)
We went to my grandparent’s house the other day; their dogs Sassy and Starr, also Bostons, were sent outside while Addy was on the floor. Piper felt bad for them and talked to them through the screen door forever. They’d come up to the screen and she’d crack. up. She had so much fun with those silly dogs; and we couldn’t stop laughing, either!
I can’t imagine that it’d feel very good to lick the screen, but the sweetness of a cute little girl on the other side was worth it, apparently.
Oh man...the love kids have for dogs is soooo sweet. :) What does Piper think about your labs?
